1993 Intercountry Adoption Convention soon in force for 66 States

On Thursday, 26 May 2005, Belgium deposited its instrument of ratification to the Hague Convention of 29 May 1993 on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption. With this ratification, Belgium became the 66th Contracting State to this Convention. The Convention will enter into force for Belgium on 1 September 2005.
