Visit of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice of Romania, to the Permanent Bureau of the Hague Conference on private international law
On Wednesday morning, 17 November 1999, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice of Romania H.E. Mr Valeriu Stoica, paid a visit to the Permanent Bureau of the Conference. Furthermore were present, among others, H.E. Mr Mihnea Motoc, Ambassador of Romania to the Netherlands, and Mrs Cristina Luzescu, Director for International Relations from the Romanian Ministry of Justice, whereas the Dutch Ministry of Justice was represented by Mr Lukács, Counsellor.
Among the topics discussed was the possible accession by Romania to a number of Hague Conventions. Furthermore, the Minister sought closer co-operation between the Romanian Authorities and the Permanent Bureau of the Conference with a view to assess the practical operation of certain Conventions already ratified by Romania.
