Choice of Court Convention enters into force for Montenegro

On 23 August 2018, the Permanent Bureau was informed that Montenegro had deposited its instrument of ratification to the Hague Convention of 30 June 2005 on Choice of Court Agreements (Choice of Court Convention) on 18 April 2018. Following this ratification the Choice of Court Convention entered into force for Montenegro on 1 August 2018. With Montenegro’s ratification, the Choice of Court Convention now has 32 Contracting Parties, including one REIO.
Montenegro has been a Member of the HCCH since 2007. It is a Contracting Party to 13 Hague Conventions.
