The 2000 Protection of Adults Convention enters into force for Cyprus
On 1 November 2018, the Hague Convention of 13 January 2000 on the International Protection of Adults (hereinafter “the 2000 Protection of Adults Convention”) entered into force for Cyprus, following the signature on 1 April 2009, and deposit of its instrument of ratification on 4 July 2018. The 2000 Protection of Adults Convention currently has 12 Contracting Parties. More information is available on the Protection of Adults Section of the Hague Conference website.
Cyprus has been a Member of the HCCH since 1984. It is a Contracting Party to 14 Hague Conventions and 2 Protocols.
