Protection of Adults Convention enters into force for Malta

On 1 July 2023, the Convention of 13 January 2000 on the International Protection of Adults (2000 Protection of Adults Convention) entered into force for the Republic of Malta following the deposit of its instrument of ratification on 8 March 2023.
The 2000 Protection of Adults Convention currently has 15 Contracting Parties. More information on this Convention is available on the Protection of Adults Section of the HCCH website.
Malta has been a Member of the HCCH since 1995 and is bound by 12 HCCH Conventions and one Protocol.
