Japan and the Hague Conference: a relationship of 100 years

On Thursday, 23 September 2004, the Secretary General of the Hague Conference and the Ambassador of Japan at The Hague jointly hosted a reception to celebrate the centennial of the participation of Japan in the Hague Conference. The reception was held at the Peace Palace at The Hague.
Both Secretary General Hans van Loon and Ambassador Koike commemorated the 100 years' relationship in their respective speeches, which have been made available on this website:
