Morocco - Competent Authority (Art. 6)
(Translation)
In accordance with Article 6, paragraph 2, of the Convention, the Kingdom of Morocco designates officials of the courts of first instance, courts of appeal (ordinary and specialised) as well as the
court of cassation connected with the Ministry of Justice and Liberties as the authorities who by
reference to their official function are competent to issue the certificate referred to in Article 3, first
paragraph, with regard to the documents referred to in Article 1, paragraph a, on the documents
emanating from an authority or an official connected with the courts or tribunals of the State,
including those emanating from a public prosecutor, a clerk of a court or a process-server.
In accordance with Article 6, paragraph 2, of the Convention, the Kingdom of Morocco designates
the local authorities in the provinces and prefectures connected to the Ministry of the Interior as
the authorities who by reference to their official function are competent to issue the certificate
referred to in Article 1, paragraphs b, c and d, of the Convention.
