| Translation requirements (Art. 5(3)): |
In cases where formal service is to be effected, the addressee who does not understand the language in which the document is written may refuse to accept it. In such a situation the Cyprus Central Authority will request that the document be translated or accompanied by a translation into the official language of Cyprus by the arrangement and at the expense of the requesting party. |
| Costs relating to execution of the request for service (Art. 12): |
All documents which have to be served in accordance with any court regulations or in accordance with any law are served through a court only after payment, of a flat fee of 21 Euros. Payment of fees shall be made by bank transfer to the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, at the following bank account: Bank Account Number: 6001017 - Ministry of Justice and Public Order IBAN: CY21 0010 0001 0000 0000 0600 1017 Swift Code: CBCYCY2N All service requests should comply with the described method. However, if unaccompanied by proper payment and bank receipt, they will be returned without processing. |
