Switzerland first State to ratify Hague Securities Convention
On Monday 14 September 2009, the Hague Convention of 5 July 2006 on the Law Applicable to Certain Rights in Respect of Securities held with an Intermediary was ratified by Switzerland.
Two more ratifications or accessions are needed in order for the Convention, which is open for signature by all States, to enter into force.
