Child Protection Convention enters into force for Costa Rica
On 1 August 2021, the HCCH Convention of 19 October 1996 on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Co-operation in respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children (Child Protection Convention) entered into force for the Republic of Costa Rica following the deposit of its instrument of accession on 29 October 2020.
The Child Protection Convention has 53 Contracting Parties. More information on this Convention is available on the Child Protection Section of the HCCH website.
Costa Rica has been a Member of the HCCH since 2011 and is a Contracting Party to seven HCCH Conventions.
