80 Contracting States for Child Abduction Convention
On 1 March 2007, Armenia became the 80th Contracting State to the 1980 Hague Child Abduction Convention. This Convention entered into force for Armenia on 1 June 2007.
On the same day (1 March 2007), Armenia also acceded to three more Hague Conventions: the Convention of 5 October 1961 on the Conflicts of Laws relating to the Form of Testamentary Dispositions (entry into force for Armenia on 30 April 2007), the Convention of 29 May 1993 on Protection of Children and Co-operation in respect of Intercountry Adoption (entry into force for Armenia on 1 June 2007), and the Convention of 19 October 1996 on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Co-operation in respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children (entry into force for Armenia on 1 May 2008).
