Burkina Faso accepts the Statute of the Hague Conference on Private International Law
On Tuesday, 1 October 2013, the Burkina Faso accepted the Statute of the Hague Conference on Private International Law and has thus become the 75th Member of the Organisation. Burkina Faso is Party to the Hague Convention of 25 October 1980 on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction as well as the Hague Convention of 29 May 1993 on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption and has signed the Hague Convention of 23 November 2007 on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance. Burkina Faso is the sixth African State to become a Member of the Hague Conference.
