1965 Service Convention enters into force for Brazil
On 1 June 2019, the HCCH Convention of 15 November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters (hereinafter the “Service Convention”) entered into force for Brazil, following the deposit of its instrument of accession on 29 November 2018. The Service Convention currently has 74 Contracting Parties.

Brazil is a Member of the HCCH and in addition to the Service Convention, is a Contracting Party to seven other HCCH instruments (the Apostille, Evidence, Child Abduction, Access to Justice, Adoption, and Child Support Conventions, as well as the Child Support Protocol).
