Child Protection Convention entered into force for Fiji
On 1 April 2019, the Convention of 19 October 1996 on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Co-operation in Respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children ("Child Protection Convention") entered into force for Fiji, following the deposit of its instrument of accession on 5 June 2018. The Child Protection Convention currently has 51 Contracting Parties.
In addition to the Child Protection Convention, Fiji is a Contracting Party to 4 HCCH Conventions.
